Another cargo run for Tradewinds Aviation. Today I'm running a load of cargo from our base in Fort Lauderdale Executive (KFXE) to San Salvador International (MYSM). I'm taking our Pilatus PC-12 for this run. I like it a lot, it's fast, carries a pretty good payload, and has single-engine turbine efficiency. My two other company pilots have been busy keeping our King Airs making money.
It's going to be a decent run today, good weather for flying. The trip is just over three hundred miles, should be just under an hour and a half with the PC-12.

Now that my cargo business from Florida and the Western Caribbean is doing well, I've been considering what's next for the business? I'm trying to decide if I should look into some passenger runs out of Fort Lauderdale. I've seen some good prices on Cheiftan's and Cessna 402s that could make good shuttle runs to Nassau and the Bahamas. I've also thought about opening another operations base. I've been kicking around going down to San Jaun and checking things out. It could open up runs to the Lesser Antilles and the north coast of South America.
