Hmmm, which thread is that, Dave? What with the Orbx forums going up and down, I missed it. Under "General Discussion" - 'Important forum down time.........' started and ended/locked by JV after 105 entries. Thanks, Dave.

Indeed the "update" diddled mightily with some folks' textures etc. It seems strange that while some problems have cropped up others have little or no problems with the update. So far I have not had any serious problems with ORBX scenery textures etc. Of course I run only FSX; do not attempt to put files on other disks, folders or pockets! Just run the installers and let them sort things as thry were intended to do. One thing I have always done however was with ORBX libraries, I never allow FTX Central to install ORBX Libraries. Mainly due to the fact that method takes far to long. I always have a download of the latest libraries on my HD and install them manually. So many 'happenings' all at once Provider migrating their servers, ORBX issuing major update during migration and of course all the 'horsepower' headed to Air Daily Conference. Attempting to implement 'ORBX Direct'. Couldn't ask for a better scenario for a train wreck. No doubt the problems will be addressed, but its obvious at this point they are searching for an answer they don't have. Going back is not recommended by ORBX and to method is going to be provided. At the moment it is a "grin and bare it, we'll fix it, just not sure how or when".

"Grin and 'bare' it"? I think I'd rather just "bear" it if they don't mind. While it's hot here today, going "bare" at my age can get me into all sorts of trouble
