Over a month since the last pic of the Aztec went up. I wonder if there has been any movement on that whatsoever? I figured February for it, but I'm even wondering about that now.

With the competition going exclusive with "Steam" there's little pressure to produce. Hopefully this extra time will encourage maximum effort and their product will be outstanding - and I'm gonna win the 'Powerball' .

Well, I'm sure it will look outstanding. After that... . Let's hope they spend some time with that and forget about the "V2's" they are planning on because from what I'm reading, they are breaking more than they are fixing.

No sooner do I speak but new images come out (facebook site). Don, I'm not sure their pedestal is all that great. Here's what they have: And here's the real thing: The shape on theirs looks wrong to me. What do you think?

It does look strange but it seems to me that the "cameras" are different. Camera angles in FSX can be mighty tricky. It's a crummy screenshot, that's all. Ask Dave, he would know more than I.

WTF? That is so wrong if these are both the same model. Yikes! BP;)

No, for sure it's not the camera angle Fritz. Even just where the top of the pedestal joins the panel is all wrong. But the angle of the Alabeo one is far more radical than the angle of the real one. It sure is a WHOLE lot different to the ones I flew.
So Don, before you could at least count on accurate graphics. Nothing else worked properly, but the graphics were good. Guess we don't even get that anymore, eh? I wonder if this is actually some sort of mod that was done. I'm not aware of any approved in Canada that would allow for that, but this model isn't from Canada, if you know what I mean. I'm going to have to really think hard on this one.

Another pic. I'm certain this is the F model. That makes theirs totally wrong. Or a bastardized one. Either way, it doesn't remind me of an Aztec. I'll tell you one thing - that pedestal would be incredibly uncomfortable and awkward to work when you are holding the throttles for an extended period such as on takeoff and approach. Your wrist would be screaming at you in short order. Doesn't even look like it would be that easy to make minute power adjustments at that angle. Oh well, they screwed the Navajo. Why not screw the Aztec as well.

Here's a very up-to-date, modernized cockpit for the Aztec. Even IT doesn't have that kind of pedestal. This sucks.

Yep. None of the models I ever saw (and I've seen them all except for the A and B models) ever had that style of pedestal. This is probably a "one-of" or they can't even do graphics anymore (well, they can, they just can't be bothered). Unless something changes, they've pooched the 4 airplanes I've most wanted since the 185 - the 206 turbo, Navajo and now the Aztec. This isn't going to end well.

Found one example of theirs. Figures they'd do the most obscure version of a very common airplane they could find. I'll reserve further comment at this point for fear of getting banned (and what's going through my brain right now just might get me banned, as difficult as that might be). I have no idea what model it is though.

Glenn, do you remember just a while ago where you commented on the tendency of Carenado to do the most obscure models? I think you are right; all the real airplanes that are available to them are old, strange and/or "modified". I guess they do what they can with what they have. Still ... for 59.95 or whatever they want this time, I would expect more. My view only, sure.
