So I decided to bypass Tofino and go directly to Skagit today. The plan is to tour around the Olympic Peninsula and the area a bit east of Seattle, gathering new photos and material for various graphics projects I want to do. As such, I decided on the beeline to Skagit. A friend at Vertex Aviation (Skagit) has offered me the use of his 185 for a few days. He says he hasn't flown it in a while now and it needs some "exercising", but he's too busy with work so offered it to me. Not sure how long I'll have it for, but I'm looking forward to using it for a few days. He runs a flying school there so if he needs the 185 back, I may rent one of his higher end trainers for the rest of the time I'm there. We'll see what happens. Anyway, a few pics from the trip to Skagit today. Climbing out of Port Hardy Enroute atop an undercast On descent to Skagit. The forecast was for clear skies, but there definitely was some haze around As such, just in case, I programmed in the RNAV approach for 11 at Skagit. Didn't really need it, but it was there anyway. Taxiing up to Vertex Aviation Tied down and ready to meet Vern. See you in my tour
