Does anyone have an idea where I can get a good F101B Voodoo. I Have an urge to crawl around one, as I used to do. I tried Alphasim- Virtavia free downloads, but nothing there really 'grabbed ' me. They had the SQN and RCAF colours but, I'm leery of their products. Oh !!! BTW!!!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone. Carm.

Like most century series fighters, the Voodoo was a great looking plane! Too bad there isn't a more updated version for FS.

Yep! you're right. I was with a 101B sqn in the RCAF. years ago and remember them with some great and not so great, memories. One of their traits was the 'pitchup'?. it did in quite a few crews before a cure was found for this characteristic. I well remember seeing the first Voodoo that survived this maneuver, and it looked like a giant had grabbed the tail assembly and the nose area and then twisted in opposite directions. The horizontal stab was no longer horizontal and there were great wrinkles all along the fuselage from front to back. How it got back to CYYB said a lot for the skill and luck of the crew. Carm.

Have you looked at this in the SOH library?
The Voodoo is another example of a classic cold war fighter jet which seems to be forgotten by the FSX developer community. My attempt to make the Virtavia Alphasim Freeware Collection FS2004 F-101 Voodoo "One-O-Wonder" usable in FSX is available at the Warbirds Library now, there are 2 files:
Part 1: F-101C and RF-101C with USAF paints by DaveQ and falcon409 Part 2: F-101B with CAF/USAF ANG paints by DaveQ

Actually there is no such thing as a "Good" F-101. (Adequate at best)
