Had to have the vet put down my Australian Shepherd, Jessie, today. She was a month shy of being thirteen - all wore out and in pain. Best dog ever and I'll really miss her.

Oh man, really, really sorry to hear that Dave. That's genuinely a tough one to handle. Hope you feel better soon, and for what it's worth, Jessie's not hurting now. I feel for you.

That really does suck. Pets are family members. It's tough to lose one.

So sorry to hear that Dave. My mom and dad just went through that with one of ours, and I was real close to her too. It hurts a lot, they are just like family.

pets are always so difficult to lose. Not only are they family but they are dependent on us for care and protection just like our children. God speed Jessie!
