I am sooooooooo happy Eastern is back (Ex-Eastern Family member). I hope she survives. I repainted a -800 which is their first plane active so far. It is names the Spirit of Captain Eddie Rickenbacker.

Looks good there Don. I remember those well (mostly the 727's, which I really, really liked!).
Now, you say they are back. Have they reformed and are flying/about to fly again?? That would be pretty cool!

They got their 121 a couple / three weeks ago. They are starting off flying charter work until 2016. Then they start flying routes. In fact, their first trip was last week from Miami to Havana. They have an order in for 20 -800s and 20 MRJs. I think they will mainly flying in the islands and Latin America. I'm just glad to see them back. They were smart when the airline folded; the brand was preserved for future use. Yes, their 727s were the nicest around. I used to fly them from NY to Miami back in the 70s.

Kewl! Good to see them going again. Hope they get back to their original size back in the States before too long. It would be nice to see their machines again.
