Well, I went off searching for more of the strips in PNG. Found Milei but had a devil of a time getting down. The thing sits at a slant, for crying out loud! Not to mention that it is also on a hillside. Frankly, I died at least three times. On the fourth go I got it down but only just damn barely. Very, very tricky, at least for me ownself. I had a couple of snaps but Photobucket is acting up again and I can't post them. I'll try a bit later.
Here we go. There it is! Parked at last! The coordinates of Milei are 9° 4' 44" S 147° 35' 46" E

Are you part cat? Can't wait to see the pics. It sounds like I may need to get that scenery. I like Porter-type scenery.
BP;)

I think you need to be part cat to fly in that country! It's great scenery and those little strips are the toughest I've ever seen in FSX. Well worth the scoots.

If you have ORBX global and vector, the PNG package is really good. Besides, ff you read wikipedias description of the Porter, it says that its being used in Papua and PNG. But any good bush plane feels at home there. I´ve mostly been around the strips in a Pacer and a Scout. I will take the porter soon.
I´mm just still fiddling with its aircraft file, adding some flight tuning things. I´m not happy with the elevator trim.

One of the co-developers says they're working on a new super mesh for the scenery - so we'll be able to see our screw-ups in greater detail.

I only have Vector and mesh (Pilot) for PNG, but I can see an add-on would be great to have. Need some of those tight, sloped runways. Without an add-on, it is still a great place to fly. BP;)

As I have written before, if you want very difficult strips, ORBX NZ south Island has many difficult grass strips with sloping and bumpy "runways". Some with very difficult go around when you dont get it right. But the hardest is often to turn the AC to be able to fly away again. And the sheep dont help. But there´s something about the PNG addon. It just smells of sweat and ratsh*t. And the realweather can be very complicated. Warm and humid and thick layers of clouds. Piston engines suffer and climb very badly.

A CATII approach is always better. (can't believe I said that) He could always go for a CAT4, but then he would find himself at Qualicum Beach Airport and not Milei.
