There's a Nolinor 737-200 sitting on the ramp right in front of me at the moment, gassed and ready to go. Get down here and we'll "borrow" it for a bit. I've already filed for Nassau. Let me know what time you expect to arrive (make it quick - I think the dispatcher is getting suspicious as this thing is supposed to be heading for the Arctic this morning).
Jeeez. -30 again this morning.

@don - 0F?? That's really chilly for you guys! Man, this arctic air is really sinking south these days! The Nolinor that's here today is C-GNLN (actually, it's firing up right now). We usually have TUK (the one you had in your screenshot a while back) here, but it can be either. They go out pretty much every day for Iqaluit and Mary River (Baffin Island).
@mike - wouldn't be surprised. The wind has started up here now so the temps (with windchill) have now dropped to -40C/F. Yah-friggin-hoo! So yeah Fritz, a "tad" chilly!

Yes - this was a record breaker. Not far from here (40 miles and up 1000') it dropped to -11F.

Yeah, we're breaking records here too. If it weren't for the wind, it would be fine (speaking as someone who spent a lot of time in the north - Torontonians are freaking out right about now  ). Still though, the older I get, the less I like it. Wouldn't mind living in some place like Port Hardy or Tofino right about now. |

Damn!! my hooditchapivie got frost bitten this AM when I was going across the street to feed my neighbours cats----My neighbours are in St Maartens at their Condo---now ask me, just who is the sucker here ?? Anyway, with a frost bitten whoditchapivie I can't go anywhere till it thaws.  Carm.
