If I do that, I get the same display as if the Demo time had expired. Also, you just mentioned an 'Activate link' in your message above, ----there is no such link , nor have I seen such a link--that is, related to this problem.

On the second sheet I posted it says that, if the game hasn't been activated yet, each time you start it you'll get a question about 'are you ready to activate?'. The two ways to activate are Internet and Telephone so if you're able to answer the 'are you ready' question, the Install Wizard should lead you through the Internet method.

I haven't seen that ' are you ready to activate' note when I start the sim, and I have started it multi times recently. I certainly would prefer the Internet method to activate, if given the opportunity.

Carm, will you be home around 10 a.m. Saturday? I'll come up and have a quick look. I'll only have a few minutes, so please have your computer running but NOT the sim (and don't start it at all until I get there please). Let me know - if I don't hear from you here, I'll assume you aren't available (busy days right now).

Then what happens if you go into the help menu before you reach that 30 minute mark and click on the Activate link? Well to begin with, I don't, nor ever have seen an 'activate link'. before or after the 30 minute mark. What I do get is the same display entitled About Flight Simulator, it has a spot for the Product ID, but there now is the same goblee gook I mentioned in previous messages. And I cannot change it in any way. Cheers.

Crap. You got a virus there Carm? That also might just be what comes up when the product is not registered. We'll have a gander Saturday. Remember, don't start the sim Saturday before I get there.

Try running 'repair' off your Acceleration disk - might get you back to square one.
