OK, this might be one whacky idea I've come up with, so I thought I'd ask your thoughts and opinions about something before I do it.
As many of you know, I founded Air Caribou back in the days of FS98. It lasted for quite a while before I "left for other things". As many know, I've picked it up again and I'm kind of pumped about that. However, I've been thinking back on my early days of flying (IRL) and lately have had a hankering for the light machines. I guess one gets nostalgic in one's old age (I heard that Don ). So, what I was thinking was something along the lines of a "prequel". With RW experience to draw on (something many here have as well), I wondered about "starting over" where I start from being a new student, gradually work my way through my Private, float rating, instrument rating, multi-engine, Commercial and finally ending up where I found Air Caribou. Obviously the equipment will be a little newer than when I went this route the first time (avionics have changed and the old stuff isn't really available anymore for the most part) so this is going to be somewhat modernized, but the theme and processes will be about the same. The idea is to post my progress in the PIREP's section for your readingtorture enjoyment . So, my question is, is this something you would enjoy, or would this just look like me flogging my ego (which I don't want to do, it gets stroked and dumped on enough in my photo business so I don't need to do it here <LOL>)? Like I say, it would be based on RW experiences so there might be some entertainment value in that for some.
Thoughts/yes/no/"WHAT??!! ARE YOU NUTS???"/other? I eagerly await your comments (with great fear, I might add).
Oh, PS - postings will still be as my time permits so they may be irregular.
