When you lose your C drive, drink coffee BEFORE attempting a re-install of Windows. This will prevent erasing the back up drive with all your scenery and airplane installers by mistake.
Re-installing everything the hard way. Thank goodness my registration codes were on a different drive, so I know where to download stuff. I hate stupid mistakes.
Sigh

Sigh Sue I lost hundreds of photos like that, once. The worst part was, as I clicked where I shouldn't have clicked, I knew what was about to happen.

There's this instant "OH NO" scream in your head as you do it. The conversation with myself would have to be heavily censored, as you can imagine. Sue

Ouch! Been there done that, and it is not a pleasant feeling when you realize . Like Fritz, I lost a bunch of photos a while back. I recovered some with recovery software, but only got back about a third of them. Now I'm paranoid and back up my stuff in triplicate . -Scott
