To learn, that is. Ran into a glitch where I couldn't get a boot and everything was at or beyond pear shaped - part of the ongoing saga "Computer repair in your dotage". Scratched my head (carefully 'cause I'm running out of hair) and Googled 'til I was wore out. After a while an underunning theme of 'check your memory sticks' finally broke water in my shallow awareness pool. It was like the parting of the Dead Sea (smaller scale) - two memory sticks, only one of which was being recognized and wasn't properly seated besides. Now if I could just reset my personal memory as easily. Suddenly a 4GB RAM becomes 8GB - like taking some of Glenn's pills. If I could just get this Shih tzu to quit barking - lovely dog but noisy.
