That counts Fritz, but I'm not sure the Aztec will make it across the pond without some mods done to it (that said, I know a guy who's flown his 182 to Europe several times from here without any mods - no thanks!). I guess you're safe That's about 15 degrees warmer than us Don <LOL>

At the moment (noonish), it's -7° C (19.4° F) here in Toronto. Winds are calm (finally - they've been blowing like blazes for the past couple of days!) and the sun's out. Took about 45 minutes both last night and Wednesday night to clear the driveway of snow, about 6-8 inches (without drifts) in total, I guess. More snow predicted for tomorrow and rain in the evening. Oh, joy.
My cousin up in Uxbridge couldn't even make it to the end of her driveway yesterday to pick up the mail, thanks to the snow. Mind you, it's a half-mile-long driveway.
Found this statement online. Sort of confirms some of our suspicions here.
Yes, Mars is indeed warmer than Toronto
Mars vs. Earth temperature comparisons are always a little tricky. The temperamental Martian climate sees such wild variations that there’s usually some temperature overlap between the two planets. But let’s focus on Gale Crater, a notably chilly section of Mars hosting the Curiosity rover. The latest daily weather report from the rover (recorded on Sol 1547) saw an air temperature high of -8 C. In Toronto, Pearson International Airport was recording -8.4 C on Thursday afternoon. The city won’t have to deal with the -75 C overnight temperatures experienced by Gale Crater, but still: You’d think Toronto would be getting a bit more payoff for being 80 million kilometres closer to the sun.
A little bit farther west but still in country...
It’s colder in Edmonton than at the South Pole
Granted, the Southern Hemisphere is experiencing summer right now. But still; a snowy patch of ice desert in the middle of Antarctica is warmer than the Alberta capital. The pole-based Amundsen-Scott research station was recording -21 C as of press time, just as Edmonton temperatures began plunging towards an overnight low of -28 C.
Don't you just love Mother Nature?

Not to be left out of the choir, here in the glorious PNW snow has been on the ground for several days, the sun is shining and we're headed for a high of 32F.

I agree with the "mother" part . Mars weather is definitely more boring though . I got out today to get a few things. Cleaned 25 cm off the car (which all came yesterday), and we're expecting 20 to 40 more by tomorrow night. YAHOO! I heard either Portland or Seattle got a whack of freezing rain yesterday! Man, it looked really bad - reminiscent of what we got last winter. Enjoy your sun Dave

Aztec with factory tanks (144 gal.) can go about 800 miles between gas pumps. Mine could go 1000 with the added tip tanks (180 gal.).

We used to make a gas stop at Charlotte, NC on the way from Toronto to Tampa in my uncle's Aztec. By then we needed a break, believe me!

Won't mention the temp. here in Florida but it may be shorts for the Christmas party tonight. We spent several Christmas's in Florida and they were nice. The unfortunate part was living through the summers to get to each one.
