<LOL> Half expected the next song - "Cry Me A River" . Well, I spent the day doing some painting and doing some planning, and bottom line is I'm pretty much done with trying to do my own ops. I'll just fly whatever moves me on a given day and let it go at that. Just don't have it in me anymore I guess . I will post some screenies from time to time though. Not tonight however. Had a good flight in a Flybe RJ85 from Southampton to Dublin, but it was a night flight. Not much to look at.

That's what I do. I grab the first keys on the counter and go fly! LOL! I do like painting IF and WHEN we have paintable subjects.

I certainly didn't mean to discourage Glenn from doing organized flight ops. But in all honesty, I'm not ready to make my hobby so work related that it isn't fun any more. That's the main reason my own virtual airline is stalled. On the other hand, flying around the Paris cityscape freeware was a blast, I've never seen an urban area done so well. I did grab the new Valdez Pioneer scenery as well, which is another amazingly beautiful area to fly through. What was said earlier about not flying virtually what you flew in real life, there's some truth to that. I'm completely disappointed every time I do a local flight from my home airport (KMKT) ... While an Orbx Global freeware pack has made the airport itself more accurate, the nearby cities and towns are barely recognizable. Only the roads and waterways are close. But when I fly into and out of places I've never been, then it's easy to imagine myself actually being there. That's why my virtual airline (such as it is) is based out west. When I do fly a "company mission", imagination and reality are close enough to make the experience what I look for in this hobby. To make me feel like I'm actually flying those ships in those places.

Oh no Sandy, my decision on this has been a LONG time coming. You weren't the catalyst on this at all my friend . If I had a nickel for every ops I've started and killed in the past 2 years, I'd own my own REAL Comanche by now <LOL>! When I was flying IRL in the bush, I loved it. There were very few days I didn't want to go to work (and the days I didn't want to go were because the weather was very marginal and I knew I'd have to try anyway). So making this very "work-like" for me was exactly what I was trying to achieve. But, alas, FSX is still a long way from real life, and the RW model doesn't work so well in FS. Anyway, not to worry. You never know what tomorrow will bring. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (some people just aren't teachable )

Perfectly alright, Glenn. I, for one, thinks it's great that you keep inventing new ops. I mean, what else is Tuesday good for?

Hey I totally understand where you are coming from Glenn. First and foremost have fun ops or not ops. We all have enough normal crap in RL to worry about and this should be a thing that relaxes you and you can find some enjoyment in after a long day. I have been real shotty for bit here just do to some real life drama I needed to deal with but got that all sorted and actually picked up a new video card last night so been tweaking all day. FSX is more CPU driven than vid card so dont see a huge improvement in frames but certainly do in image quality. Anyway enjoy what your doing and even if its just screenshots those are nice too. I myself am way simplifying things here. Getting back to basics as time is still kind of limited here in there so I need to be doing something I can get in, have fun and keep it simple stupid(KISS) So basically we are running a Beaver, 207 and an Aztec out of Yakutat main base. Thats it. At least for now. I get in trouble when I add too much or take on too much and dont have the time for it. So hopefully I will get back to posting more myself. Hope to see you around and just having some fun and if a PIREP comes from it so be it!
