Gentlemen,
here is a cut n' paste from one of the guys on the ORBX forums. Frank is building a first class 737 cockpit. Just the video graphics portion is using 3 computers driving 3 projectors for the outside views. In any case he just download P3D v2.3 and has the following to report on the sim. I thought those of you early adopters may be interested in his findings and comments posted below.
"Guys, I'm so excited, I think I've just caught a glimpse of true simmers Nirvana! LM just released P3D V2.3 today and I downloaded it earlier tonight.
Now, a word of WARNING!, I am not advocating that anybody run out and install this version straight away.
It has some problems! It does not like the current FSUIPC, so Pete Dawson has a new one coming (he's currently away on holidays). Then there is a problem with ASN, Hi-Fi will no doubt be on to that as well.
The ORBX libraries have a small problem with their object library (I hope that is right?), but when I upgraded, it asked me to re0start and I didn't see the error again.
So, after all that you probably need to delete the config file and let it re-build that. I actually did all of the above and finally got back to a flying condition. I've also downloaded the full install and as soon as there is a new fix for FSUIPC and ASN, I'll re-install the full program.
Anyway, back to Nirvana.
I got the program running and loaded up my OzSim Jetstream 737. I started a flight from Sydney and flew up to Brisbane. I was just blown away! So smooth......I couldn't help myself, I went into the settings and kept bumping them up. Pretty soon, I had them higher than I've even had running with my GTX680's (I currently have a little GTX580 running in this machine). I bumped up the AA to nearly full and turned off the clouds, so I could check out the scenery. To behold ORBX land in such glory was astonishing."
